SSC CGL Exam Pattern

The recruitment calls for a three-tier selection process. The Tier-I will consist of questions related to the Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Language for 200 marks. The tier-II will consist of four papers according to the post for 100 marks each. Paper-I (Quantitative Aptitude) and Paper-II (English Language) be conducted for all the posts. The Paper III – Statistics (for Statistical Investigator Gr-II & Compiler posts only) and Paper-IV – General Studies (Finance & Economics (for Asst Audit Officer Gazetted Group”B” post only). Tier-III will be a descriptive paper to test the writing skills of the candidates. Candidates will have to write an essay/letter/application on recent or general topics. The candidates applying for the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS & MEA will be attempting a Computer Proficiency Test and candidates applying for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax) will be attempting the data entry skill test.
